In this entry-level job, Cake Decorator Apprentices (or Trainees) learn to create beautiful cakes, pies, and other desserts. They work closely with customers and attach a smile to every interaction. This training helps them to grow into a career as a Publix Cake Decorator.
How to Apply
Cake Decorator Apprentices perform their duties primarily in the Bakery department. They may be exposed to various temperature changes and environments. Work involves walking, standing, and lifting and carrying products weighing up to 60 pounds. Duties also include repetitive arm and hand movements and hand-squeezing for at least 85 percent of the work day, as well as interacting with customers and fellow associates.
To apply for a retail position at Publix, please visit the store where you would like to work and complete an application using our Job Application Center (JAC), an automated kiosk located inside near the entrance. A completed Publix application is required to be considered for employment.
After you complete the application, you can notify the Store Manager at your preferred location of your interest in a career with Publix. You can tell the manager that you have a current application and provide any details about your skills and experience. The manager can let you know if there are current openings in their store or in other local Publix stores.
