Our spirit of giving.
Once asked what he would be worth today if he hadn’t given so much away, Publix founder George Jenkins immediately responded, “Probably nothing.” And his legacy of giving continues today.
Publix and Publix Super Markets Charities give to local food banks and other nonprofits each year, and some donations are made with the generous help of our customers and associates. For instance, with the Feeding More Together program,* Publix will match customers’ dollar contributions to local food banks with an equivalent value of fresh produce. Our donations work together to help alleviate hunger in our communities.
Publix and Publix Charities also support a variety of nonprofits that help youth in our communities, including Camp Boggy Creek, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Scout programs, and many others. Associates and customers can contribute to help local youth through donation programs such as Tools for Back to School. Learn more about the programs that Publix supports below.
