Our Spirit of Giving
Once asked what he would be worth today if he hadn’t given so much away, Publix founder George Jenkins immediately responded, “Probably nothing.” And his legacy of giving continues today.
Publix and Publix Charities give to local food banks and other nonprofits each year, and some donations are made with the generous help of our customers and associates.
Publix and Publix Charities also support a variety of nonprofits that help youth in our communities, including Camp Boggy Creek, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Scout programs, and many others. Associates and customers can contribute to help local youth through donation programs such as Tools for Back to School. Learn more about the programs that Publix supports below.
