Dec. 5, 2024 — Publix Super Markets presented Lakeland Division District Manager Chris Gordon with the 2024 President’s Award at the company’s annual retail operations conference in Orlando, Florida.
Chris treats diversity and inclusion as golden rules. He follows the lead George Jenkins, Publix's founder, set many years ago and treats all his associates equally and with dignity and respect.
“Having a diverse group of associates is like having the perfect recipe for success,” said Chris. “We’re fortunate to have a variety of skill sets represented in our company, which will help carry us into the future.”
Upon learning that he would be a recipient of this year’s award, Chris felt honored to have been selected. He is excited to share this meaningful award with his team, who he credits for much of his success.
“I’m proud to be able to celebrate this award with my team,” said Chris. “This is definitely a shared accomplishment, and I look forward to continuing to build relationships with our associates and work alongside them.”
