Dec. 5, 2024 — Publix Super Markets presented Charlotte Division District Manager Stuart Osha with the 2024 President’s Award at the company’s annual retail operations conference in Orlando, Florida.
Stuart appreciates having a diverse team with different views and experiences. He’s proud to be part of a company that encourages and values associates with varying backgrounds and skill sets.
“I enjoy building a bond with every member of my team and getting to know them personally,” said Stuart. “Each contributes to our team’s success. It’s important for them to know how valued they are as individuals and teammates.”
Stuart was overwhelmed when he first learned he had been named this year’s Charlotte Division President’s Award recipient. He felt honored to be recognized for his work and looks forward to building on the relationships he has developed with his team.
“I’m grateful for the opportunities Publix has provided me,” said Stuart. “I want to continue inspiring others to chase their dreams.”
About the honoree
Stuart began working for Publix in 1984 as a front service clerk in Rockledge, Florida. He held various positions in the grocery department before becoming an assistant store manager in 2006 and a store manager in 2010. Stuart was promoted to district manager in 2020.
About the President’s Award
The President’s Award is one of the company’s most prestigious awards. It honors one district manager from each of the company’s five divisions and one support manager who are committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. In addition, the recipients must be role models to others by demonstrating exemplary leadership.
Stuart joins Atlanta Division District Manager Tammy Quirion, Jacksonville Division District Manager Jeff Thompson, Lakeland Division District Manager Chris Gordon, Miami Division District Manager Kevin Donlan and Manager of Associate Diversity & Inclusion LaTarsha Melvin as this year’s President’s Award recipients.
