Nov. 13, 2025 — Publix Super Markets celebrated the 2025 Atlanta Division George W. Jenkins Award recipient, Store Manager Stephanie Bennett, Atlanta, at the company’s retail operations conference in central Florida.

Stephanie is a transformational leader who is committed to the growth and development of her associates. Her focus on cultivating future leaders and being there for her associates extends outside of her store, through community events and career fairs.

“It’s important to me to create an environment where associates enjoy coming to work,” said Stephanie. “If our associates know they are appreciated and valued, they will make sure our customers feel appreciated and valued too.”

Stephanie said that she has been fortunate enough to have several leaders throughout her career who embody the spirit of company founder, George Jenkins. She often tries to put herself in his shoes by asking herself, “What would George Jenkins do?”

“I’m owning the legacy created by our founder by empowering my team to take ownership of their work and providing them with the tools to be successful,” said Stephanie. “I take pride in coming to work every day and encouraging my team. It truly feels like I’m working with my family.”

Stephanie started her Publix career in 2005 as a cashier and worked her way up through the customer service department before becoming an assistant store manager. In 2019, she was promoted to store manager in Lithia Springs, Georgia. She is now a store manager in Atlanta.
