Publix is proud to be recognized as a Visionary Partner of Feeding America^® for food donations made through our in-store perishable recovery program.

According to the USDA¹, more than 42.1 million people live in food-insecure households, including 6.5 million children. Food banks and agencies in the Feeding America network help those in need, and as a food retailer, Publix has taken the opportunity to give back to our communities in the Southeast by helping these organizations alleviate hunger. Since 2011, Publix has donated more than 337 million pounds of food, or 281 million meals, to the Feeding America network.

In a related effort, Publix Super Markets Charities announced a $5 million donation to the Feeding America network and other nonprofits on August 28, 2019.
