LAKELAND, Fla., Sept. 7, 2022 — Publix has been named on the 2022 Best Workplaces in Retail list by Fortune, ranking No. 5 of the 20 best large retail workplaces. Publix associates say the company’s dedication to service, welcoming culture, desire to give back and support for associates to take time off when they need it are some of the reasons they enjoy working for the company, which has more than 1,300 stores across seven states.

“We’ve made an effort to stay true to the philosophies Publix was founded on 92 years ago,” said Publix Director of Communications Maria Brous. “It’s gratifying to be recognized on this list because the results are directly from the feedback and experiences of our associates.”
