Setting the scene

Publix’s Merry Birthday cake is the star and centerpiece of our holiday commercial that first aired Thanksgiving Day. 

It tells the story of a young girl who was born on Christmas Day. Each year, she watches her friends get their own celebrations while hers is shared with one of the year’s busiest holidays. But this year, with help from Publix — and a little Christmas magic — Santa delivers her the one thing she’s always wanted: a true birthday celebration of her own, complete with a Merry Birthday cake.

Celebrate the joy of the season with your very own Merry Birthday cake. Our bakery can prepare the cake featured in the commercial just for you — whether you’re celebrating someone special with a December birthday or you’re just a Publix fan. The Merry Birthday cake is two-tiered with a top layer filled with sprinkles. The cake is available only by special order, and a 24-hour notice is required.
