Oct. 9, 2024 — Publix continues to donate food, ice, water and other supplies to people in need across our operating area following Hurricane Helene.

We’re proud to support a variety of organizations like the American Red Cross, local Feeding America® partner food banks and the Florida Fund to provide much-needed essentials in the aftermath of the storm.

Our communities

We believe in being there for our local communities both before and after a storm. Donations across our operating area have been provided to multiple organizations to help people recovering from Hurricane Helene. Meals, drinks and food have been donated to help in the immediate aftermath to provide nourishment as well as other necessities like personal hygiene products, cleaning supplies and pet food. Trailers full of bottled water and ice have been sent throughout the Southeast, including areas of Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and western North Carolina.

Our first responders

First responders are on the front line helping communities before and after a storm, and it’s our pleasure to help serve them as they help provide relief to their local communities. Throughout our operating area, we’ve donated meals to first responders as they help the areas affected by Hurricane Helene.

“Our hearts are with the people who have been affected by Hurricane Helene,” said Publix Director of Community Relations Dwaine Stevens. “Caring for our communities is a part of our culture, especially following a storm. As a Publix family, we’re committed to doing good, together.”
