June 19, 2024 — Looking to bring a fresh taste of summer in Italy into your home? Publix rolled out a new mascarpone cream cheese cannoli, filled with sweet berries.

These new treats come with two crispy cannoli shells dipped in rich chocolate and filled with a mix of mascarpone cream cheese and either fresh blueberries or raspberries.

Inspiration for these innovative cannoli recipes came from testing enhanced varieties of cannoli — like cookies and cream, pistachio and orange cream — in some of our stores. These versions were popular with customers, so the challenge was on to bring something new just in time for summertime for all Publix customers to enjoy.

While crafting this new offering, our bakery teams wanted to use our existing mascarpone cream cheese recipe and cannoli shells and create a new, fresh spin on a classic. Some of our customers’ favorite bakery treats are offerings with fresh fruit, so adding our high-quality blueberries and raspberries to this hand-crafted pastry was an easy decision.
