How it works

Next time you visit our seafood department, take advantage of our free seasoning and steaming service to make your seafood meals simple, flavorful and effortless. This service is available for a wide variety of fresh finfish and shellfish in our cases, from salmon to snow crab. Even better, it eliminates prep time, ensures perfectly cooked seafood and adds an extra punch of flavor — all at no additional cost. 

“Not every grocer offers this kind of hands‑on preparation,” says Guy Pizzuti, Publix’s business development director of seafood. “Providing complimentary seasoning and steaming allows us to bring added value and convenience to our customers so they can spend less time cooking and more time enjoying.” 

Available seasonings include

  • Old Bay ™
  • Cajun
  • lemon pepper and
  • lemon herb.
