Jan. 10, 2024 — To celebrate the opening of our first store in Louisville, Publix has created Kentucky-inspired products available now at all store locations. 

Giddyup for a sweet treat

Our bakery has a variety of desserts for the occasion.

• Bourbon Barrel Cut Out Cake — This cake can be special-ordered and features two layers of cake filled and coated with our made-in-store whipped chocolate buttercream icing and decorated with fudge icing and buttercream.
• Derby Hat Mini Cake — This cake is available to order online and has four layers of 5-inch vanilla or chocolate cake filled and iced in buttercream.
• Chocolate Bourbon Walnut Pie — This traditional pie crust is filled with a sweet bourbon-flavored filling and packed with walnuts and chocolate.

In our deli department, customers with a sweet tooth can find Salted Caramel Butterscotch Pudding. This pudding will melt in your mouth with flavors of butterscotch, molasses and sea salt.

Bring on the bourbon

To embrace the culture of the bourbon capital of the world, we’ll be offering bourbon-seasoned proteins available in the meat department. Start off by trying the seasoning on our chicken thighs.
