Publix has its own Printing Services business unit to produce millions of merchandising materials for our stores. Bindery Equipment Operators help produce those print products.

How to Apply

Contributions

Our Bindery Equipment Operators manufacture and package promotional materials such as sale signs and tags which advertise the product price on the front of a shelf. It's the Operators' responsibility to set up the bindery machines according to each job run. These signs are sometimes mounted on various types of base materials, such as Foamcore, PVC, and Twincote. The Operators also often hand trim the signs to meet exact sizes which are specified on print job instruction sheets. After the run is completed, Bindery Equipment Operators stack the product and shrink wrap it to prepare for distribution to the stores. To track their production, Operators report to a data collection system how long the job took to complete and the materials which were consumed.
