Bakery Plant Operations Clerk

Publix Associate

In 2010, Publix's Bakery Plant produced 152.5 million pounds of bakery items including muffins, crème cakes, and cookies. Running such a large operation takes a great deal of coordination. Operations Clerks analyze the production run information to make sure materials used and production times are reasonable.

The Bakery Plant Operations Clerks gather the plant receiving, shipping, and production information each day and enter the data into a Manufacturing SAP system. They also analyze the data to determine if any of the production information is missing or has been reported incorrectly. Furthermore, the Clerks communicate with associates in shipping and receiving to ensure information is processed accurately.

Qualifications we look for

  • Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel and Outlook)
  • Flexibility to work early morning, late evening, and weekend hours on a regular basis
  • Ability to be detail oriented
  • Ability to perform mathematical operations and/or use a 10-key calculator
  • Possess strong organizational and communication skills
  • Possess strong data entry skills
  • Obvious enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work
