Publix Associate

Cafeteria Workers make sure ingredients are on hand and cooking and serving utensils are clean and ready to be used to make meals for Publix associates in Corporate, Manufacturing and Distribution facilities that have cafeterias.

It's the Cafeteria Worker's job to make sure ingredients are in stock and that the inventory is rotated to ensure fresh foods are available for cooking. Cafeteria Workers prepare, cook and serve meals for Publix associates at facilities that have a cafeteria. They also wash pots and operate the dishwasher to provide clean dishes for each meal served.

Qualifications we look for

  • At least 18 years old
  • Experience cooking in an environment where a variety of entrées and methods are used (for example, a restaurant, Publix cafeteria, or culinary school)
  • Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
