Property Representative Assistant

Publix Associate

Meet part of our Real Estate support dream team, the Property Representative Assistants. Each Assistant supports a Publix Property Representative by monitoring tenant activity and managing and maintaining the exterior of all Publix company-owned and leased shopping centers, which is no small feat!

Each Property Representative/Assistant team is assigned a specific number of Publix locations and tenants to monitor. In 2008, more than 18,000 maintenance requests were submitted, which averages approximately 1,500 for each property representative team. Property Representative Assistants also ensure that all issues are handled in a timely manner and both leased and company-owned stores are consistently held to Publix's standards. Property Representative Assistants coordinate the preparation of the leased space for new tenants at our company-owned stores, as well as the inspection and vacating process. They also help maintain tenants' insurance certificates, sales reports, grease trap cleanings, and assist the Property Representative in the rent-reduction process.

To ensure every location meets Publix standards, each quarter the Property Representatives perform inspections at the stores. The Assistants send any needed requests to the appropriate parties and follow up to make certain the work is completed. Each Property Representative Assistant is responsible for checking a shared email account for issues that need to be addressed immediately. Furthermore, the Property Representative Assistants are responsible for commencing the procedure to maintain the common area maintenance (CAM) reconciliation and budget spreadsheets, remodel process, and one year warranty process.

  • Willingness to take on extra projects as needed
