Facilities Design provides in-house architectural and engineering services and manages external design consultants. This department is responsible for developing retail store designs for new stores and remodels. Facilities Design is also responsible for developing the design of Publix manufacturing and warehouse facilities and serves as design consultant on corporate maintenance issues. Facilities Design ensures that shopping center developers meet Publix shopping center standards.
The Construction department is a dedicated in-house team focused on overseeing new store and shopping center construction, as well as existing store remodels across Publix’s entire area of operations. From our Construction Managers to our Construction and Electrical Supervisors, Setup Coordinators, and Administrative Support team, we expertly manage our projects from contract award through completion and turnover. We also have occasional opportunities to add construction contractors to our approved list of bidders.
